anyway one of the actual flaws inherent to people trying to make any kind of gundam game where it is assumed you are NOT playing a newtype is that, by existing outside of the game board and being capable of talking to other players at the table, you're already doing newtype things

Occasionally think of that one gundam fan RPG that had a like 10x more effort put into the website than the rules which were just reskinned 5e.

I do catch myself regarding red bull as a quaint and easygoing beverage, but in the modern landscape of combat stimulant energy drink formulas with nonoverlapping a five ingredients where I catch myself wondering which are safe to take over borders, it really is a simpler potion

it's a really funny one because the logic it runs on explodes immediately in contact with reality. hitting someone with "so you think gay men don't use it because it sounds feminine?" and watching a full paradigm shift click into place

as far as language barrier driven rules inventing goes, it's not quite as severe as "yuri vs shojo ai" or "BL vs bara" but it's still really funny that neko/tachi got widely understood as Exclusively Implying Women in a gay context
