Pleased to launch our Townlands of Ireland poster design. With just an eircode, we customise the design to highlight the townland that the eircode sits inside. Since there are over 60,000 townlands on the island of Ireland, that's a whole lot of variations!
Whilst working on another townland project, we came across an interesting pair of townlands. Boleyduff / Buaile Dubh is almost completely surrounded (350°) by Skeavally or Sceach a Bhaile. We're not sure if this has always been the case, of if we're witnessing Skeavally devouring Boleyduff whole?

Today's randomly selected townland is...
An Feadán / Feddaun in County Waterford.

What better to do with an amazing dataset of over 60,000 townlands than randomly select one every day and share its lovely name in Irish and English, some translations and its odd little shape
