Just a reminder, the US lost in Vietnam, Afghanistan, and Iraq for the same reason Trump will lose fighting against his own country. You can oppress a country, but you can't change it's mind with oppression.

My mother voted for Trump, she also told me, "She wishes she could be happy for me being with someone "like that," but she can't." "Like that" refers to my wife being a non-white immigrant. Now that I've cut her off, she pretends she never said that and doesn't understand how I can be this way.

There's a similar one from about 15 years before that in the late 1800s talking about it as well. That's not even the first discussion of its impact on the climate. Eunice Foote was the first notable description of CO2's impact on thermal dynamics of air... in 1856. (Third point)

Normally, I post about politics, labor, or science... but I enjoy nature. It's not a great picture, but I got to see my neighbors come out from their daytime hiding place last night, and the whole family turned out. They were all adorable. Remember that you share your world with more than people.

The media is desprately trying to downplay who was killed in Manhattan. They learned that people like Luigi. She was the CEO of Blackstone and responsible for tons of poverty across the US and a worsening housing crisis. Don't feel bad for her. She destroyed far more lives than the shooter.
