a close look at a panicle of small white composite flowers, each with around a dozen small white disk florets, but no ray florets. the disks have five pointed lobes, spreading into an classic star shape, and a long, white, split style. within the corolla tube of the disks, the style is collared by a fused ring of cream white anthers.

the top of a branching green stem, each branch terminating in a flat-topped panicle of flowerheads composed of many small white florets with five pointed lobes & a long bifurcated style.

a white snakeroot growing in damp soil nearby a creek with a host of other green leaves plants thriving despite the drought. the snakeroot is a little over knee-high and sports broad, opposite green leaves on long petioles. at the top on the stem, there are a few short branches growing in pairs from the axils of some of the upper leaves. thise along with the main stem, terminate in panicles of small white flowers.

a light purple flower with five deep, rounded lobes and four stamens with dark purple anthers in a bunch at the center. the green calyx in which the corolla is set has long, pointed lobes and is covered in white hairs.

a light purple flower with a tubular corolla, five rounded, spreading lobes, and four stamens. the hairy green calyx is larger than the corolla itself. next to the flower there are three green nutlets tucked within a persistent calyx.

this glade bluecurls has long stems, but they're lying along the ground. opposite green leaves run along the stems, with occasional tiny, light purple flowers growing from leaf axils. the ground around the bluecurls is covered in gravel and sparse grass: a limestone cedar glade.

Community Engagement: Music City Loop is about more than infrastructure, it’s about becoming a part of the incredible Nashville community. Our interactions with Nashvillians have given us the chance to share how the system will operate, highlight the benefits it can bring to the city, and hear sincere interest and ideas about where it would be most useful. A few specifics on community engagement so far:

Meetings with Community Leaders: Met directly with dozens of local leaders and elected officials to answer questions, address concerns, and learn how Music City Loop can best serve Nashville.

Hiring and Workforce Development: Conducted a hiring event to continue building the Nashville team- opportunities are open for full-time employees and several interns! Coordination is also underway with universities, including Vanderbilt, Trevecca Nazarene, Tennessee State, Belmont, Middle Tennessee State, the University of Tennessee, and Lipscomb, to provide learning and job opportunities to students and graduates.

Community Organizations and Volunteering: Engaged with more than 70 local community organizations and participated in over 30 in-person volunteer events, including serving food to veterans, organizing donations, supporting jazz events, blood drives, fundraisers, and career fairs.

Public Inquiries: Responded to more than 50 inquiries submitted to nashville@boringcompany.com - keep the messages coming!

a composite flower with a cone of many reddish brown disk florets in the center, surrounded by eight large ray florets, oval but with a notch at their tips, colored golden yellow near the base but turning sunny yellow around halfway along.

same flowerhead, seen from the side. on top there is mound of reddish brown disk florets. under the disks, the yellow rays spread out flat; a couple furrows run parallel lengthwise down each ray, and there is a notch at the tip. beneath the rays there are hairy, green, oval phyllaries held out to the side. finally, at the bottom of the flower, a hairy green stem holds the whole assemblage aloft.

a few orange coneflowers growing among recently fallen tree leaves and grass at the edge of meadow. each coneflower has an unbranching stem with sessile leaves, with a flower on top. the flowers have brown cones in the center, surrounded by large golden yellow rays that turn sunny yellow at the tips.
