You’d think SAG would be on set trying to flip the production.

And driving an automobile acquired at the taxpayer’s expense. We as a society have to start recognizing 501(c)3s as a platform for grift.

The Air Force Academy should sue.

One could trace nearly every notable social trend from ‘92 onward, and just about every one of them begins a decades-long transformation following a late-‘80s nadir. Gun violence, teen pregnancy, educational attainment. Do these measurements reflect this unseriousness?

This is pretty easily solved by applying taxes to every income bracket, even the lowest—even if it’s only nominal. No one wants to feel like they’re shouldering the burden while half the country just watches. Just do progressive taxes. Make it an American project where can all succeed together.

We’re only about 20 years past cigarette machines in the break room. History doesn’t always repeat, but it does rhyme.

Campaigns are marketing campaigns. Marketing campaigns are (foremost) measured in attention. If you can garner more attention with tampons than a 2:00 am tv spot, then do it.

Like small caps, there just isn’t a reason to hold a large basket of PE investments. Only the top opportunities are going to yield sufficient return. Due diligence matters, placement matters—and funds run like venture capital aren’t appropriate for every investor.

This. As a marketing professional, I spend *every* day moving sentiment. Zero people in my industry are satisfied being reactive to public opinion. You absolutely can message ahead of where people currently are by being persuasive.

Only works when freshly roasted. The same unsold bag of beans on a grocery store shelf two months later isn’t the same thing. They all start regressing to the mean over time.

If edits can be this damaging, then video editors should be paid more.

Not all is lost. Perhaps FIFA will issue a Heisman Award this year.

I’m willing to put up with people’s shorts and sandals if we can ban blankies and stuffed animals for adults. No purpose in wrinkling a suit on three-hour flight, but the infantile pacifier crap sucks too.

There some wild polling results from that era, to the extent all of them likely need an asterisk. Like who was happy their government oversaw an unprecedented terrorist attack and created two flailing reactionary wars?

I’ve voted for Hickenlooper five times now. Twice as mayor, twice as gov, and now once for senate. I can’t name a single time I’ve read about his activities in federal office. That’s not good enough for this moment.

Newsom gets the part about legislative accomplishments and not being a pushover. No one cares that they pretend to take niche conservative writers seriously.
December 8, 2025 at 4:33 AM
Clearly it’s whatever political consulting group that’s making him post stuff like this. It’s too silly to not be contrived. He and Newsom are misunderstanding the open lane.

All the dudes with lifted F150s have to switch now. Not convenient.

And they will get to borrow against the value of these trusts as if the money is already in their pocket.

My 2020 has a real difficult time running a lot of apps now. Even a handful of websites. Good thing it’s mostly relegated to niche production use, controlling equipment also of that era. The 2026 MacBook on the other hand feels like it could go another 2-3 years. Amazing product.

Platonic kind does the Ted Lasso thing, where, for one season, the character dynamics are fun and endearing. But when applied to a new season arc, they start getting less believable.

That said, Platonic made me pick up the phone and call some old friends I hadn’t realized I missed so dearly.

I think it’s telling elected officials are willing to let this man soil his diaper in public rather than give him the reaction he so desperately wants.

I’m sorry, but which party did the CHIPS and Science Act again?
