Our project is creating supports that are designed to shield saplings while naturally breaking down over time, eliminating plastic waste and reducing maintenance needs.

To achieve this, we need to overcome a key challenge: protecting young trees. Broadleaf saplings are vulnerable to damage from wildlife like deer and sheep, and traditional tree guards are made from plastic, which can lead to pollution and require removal as trees grow.

That’s where we come in. By creating tree supports that biodegrade safely, we give young trees the best possible start, supporting their growth without adding plastic waste to the environment. 🌱
