My MP - Liam Conlon - hasn’t signed yet. Time for another prod.
A Government report last week highlighted that ecosystem collapse threatens our economy, our food and our national security.

Has your MP signed the Parliamentary Call for a prime-time televised emergency briefing on the #climate and #nature crisis yet?

People have a right to know

Check here to see if your MP has signed
For MPs and Peers to express support for briefing the nation on the threats from climate & nature breakdown to the UK’s security, food supply, health and economy.

The LAST thing we need is the Labour Party infighting and the government being distracted from vital agendas. Instead, we need the left and liberals to focus their energies on working together to head off the very real threat of the far right. Please focus! www.theguardian.com/politics/202...

This thread responds to Prof. Christian Dunn’s Telegraph piece on #climate communication.

I argue it misdiagnoses public disengagement, underplays escalating scientific risk, & reproduces a media narrative that has actively shaped, not merely reflected, public resistance to climate action 🧵

Some really positive news, demonstrating why green investment should be urgently reframed, from costly environmental subsidy to high-return national investment. Tories and Reform, please note.

Isn’t it appalling that leading experts like professors @paulbehrens.bsky.social & @mikebernerslee.bsky.social find it next to impossible to get access to Gov ministers, whilst fossil fuel lobbyists meet with them every day👇. Our system is broken.
Ministers generally meet once a day with fossil interests. Imagine the urgency & honesty if some were with scientists instead
