it was a weekly anime that they stopped at ep 170, they stopped for a bit to make the movie and then they're picking it back up as a seasonal

the main character yuta just like.. is not the main character. he's important but the final episode (and the ed) makes it especially clear that rikka is the protagonist and that sort of recontextualizes the entire show to me, wasn't until a rewatch that it became my favoriteanime

i feel like most of criticism i see of ssss.gridman is people who went into it expecting something like the gridman toku or ultraman and refused to engage with the shockingly grounded queer neurodivergent character drama it is

im so happy and proud of my own self-esteem i didnt sit down and take it and let things settle back down into a status quo

i got cheated on this month. every day is still hard. emotionally im a wreck every day and physically i feel like my body is drowning in sludge but i'm proud of myself all things considered. i stood my ground and you guys had my back. <3

#5: Sugar & Spice
earnestly super fun and super great movie. some dated humor aside it's basically a perfect on the nose parody of both high-school and heist films.

#4: The Pledge
it's alright. the story itself is actually pretty good but it's paced and directed so weirdly. bonus points for the unique and daring ending.

#3: Save the Last Dance (Jan 12th)
pretty good, except for like two scenes near the end which kinda pmo

#2: Double Take (Jan 12th)
boring nonsensical slop but it's not overly offensive. 4/10
