Earlier this month, our first-year MA students began exploring the geometry of structure. They investigated a range of forms, guided by visiting tutors Ricardo Hinojosa, Daniel Docherty , and course director Richard Henry.

Porcelain is a unique medium: its whiteness, uncontaminated by other earth oxides, reflects light and gives a particular luminosity to glazes, and its high-vitrification point makes it incredibly durable.

During this course, students will make their own stained glass panels inspired by the Montrose Panels, a carving originally made in 1520 for a hospital founded by the Abbot of Cambuskenneth.
