I'd like to take a moment to randomly praise Hiroyuki Morioka for writing a novel in which people get into a gunfight whilst riding animatronic cartoon horses in an amusement park, and further add that it made it into the anime adaptation.

I'm really liking this hybrid oldschool/modern style Sunrise is doing for the Assassination isekai anime adaptation from this season. Reminds me of early 2000s style and character design but without the, uh, early 2000s quality.

Re:Zero S4 is apparently doing convention screening of episode 1, just like they did prior to airing Season 3, which hints at a terrifying future where Winter 2026 has a truly absurd number of big shows airing at the same time.

Even having said all of that, it really barely scratches the surface. That's just the spaceship stuff. Half of Crest of the Stars, the introduction to the series, doesn't even take place on spaceships. Hell, like a third of it doesn't even take place in space.

My trouble crafting a review for Banner of the Stars is splitting time between the romantic and cultural elements, and the fact that it has such an interesting concept for FTL travel and spaceship combat that I'd love nothing more than to talk about for 30+ minutes, but it needs to be digestible.
