Trails In The Sky 1st Chapter...*Loving sigh* 😍
One of the best remakes of one of the best JRPG's of all time.
What more can be said? In many ways I feel 1st Chapter is a better remake than FFVII Remake, because of how faithful it is to the source.
Nothing added, just modernised.

Trails In The Sky 1st Chapter...*Loving sigh* 😍
One of the best remakes of one of the best JRPG's of all time.
What more can be said? In many ways I feel 1st Chapter is a better remake than FFVII Remake, because of how faithful it is to the source.

Okay that's the last time I believe what the media say about a game before it's even out.
After the MASSIVELY impressive first impressions of Star Wars Outlaws on Switch 2, I will absolutely be more inclined to buy more third party efforts.

A game came out today I'm willing to bet you've never heard of.
It's called Varlet.
It's a high school slice of life adventure with a dark dungeon crawling undertone.
So yes, it's very much a persona clone, but it stands apart with great characters and cool battle system.
Worth a look!

Okay so The Adventures Of Elliot is actually fantastic!
It's like team Asobo's HD-2D take on classic Zelda and it just WORKS!
Can't wait for this one. Will be a 2026 highlight from me.

The front mission trilogy is basically what you would get if you crossed Fire Emblem with Armoured Core by way of a classic SQUARE SOFT (Before Square Enix) story.

Trails Beyond The Horizon has suffered a slight delay, with a release date now set for January 2026.
Personally I feel this is ultimately a good thing as people can concentrate on the Trails In The Sky remake, coming 19th September 2025.
What do we think guys? Disappointed? Happy?

And so, I finally draw to a close Trails Through Daybreak 2.
One of my fave Trails entries yet, and perhaps cementing Van and co as my fave set of characters too!
The story and gameplay were top tier, the music is FANTASTIC.
The ending was lovely and satisfying.
Just exemplary stuff.

One game that seems to have flown under the radar a bit this last week is Romeo Is A Dead Man, the new Suda 51 game (No More Heroes, Killer 7 etc).
There's nothing more "punk" than Suda 51's mad brand of B movie stories mixed with excellent action and crazy gameplay mechanics.
Can't wait for this!

Man, playing Bravely Default Flying Fairy again after a 10 or so year hiatus is fantastic! It's clearly a dated game but the art style and gameplay are as special as ever.

Basically this battle system is exactly like Trails Through Daybreak, later copied by Metaphor Re Fantazio, and no one ever mentions this!
