I’m a railroad nerd and photographer from Massachusetts, USA. I love seeing the beauty in infrastructure and industry. 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️♿️ Pronouns: she/they
I don’t normally photograph people, but I’m trying to get better at that. My friend and partner and road trip buddy, @waywardbun.bsky.social, has been a good subject for me to practice with. It helps that I think they’re adorable, and that they also love to drive for hours to photograph industries.

Here’s two more Edgar Thomson Works photos from this trip

I figured it was time to post my 4 favorite railroad and industrial photos that I’ve taken, as an example of the art I like to make. For more of my best work, check out my Flickr album here: www.flickr.com/gp/traing33k...

The US Steel Edgar Thomson Works plant is a fantastic photo subject, and I was lucky enough to catch a Union Railroad movement with nice backlighting when I visited there recently. www.flickr.com/gp/traing33k...

Nothing too creative here, but this is a selection of my recent power lines and power plant photos from Pennsylvania and Michigan. It’s a niche interest, certainly, but they just look cool

This is a small photo set from the Pioneer Tunnel Coal Mine in Ashland Pennsylvania. I probably should have pulled out my DSLR for this, but my phone performed surprisingly well even with the low light motion blur shots. (Thankfully that red hat is not *The* Red Hat, but it’s still a bad look.)

I finally got the chance to get underneath a truss-style power line pylon in Manchester Connecticut. This feels like a classic type of photo to me, and I’m glad to finally have my own versions of this shot.

Here’s a recent photo set from the MBTA Red Line and Amtrak coach yards in Boston.

An MBTA “commuter” train approaches Worcester Union Station. It’s nice being able to use chainlink fence as a framing element rather than cursing it, like most railfans do.

I’m loving Northampton, Mass. This is a small set from the bike trail near a Smith College building.

Here’s a few photos I recently edited, from Danbury CT, and East Deerfield Yard in Massachusetts.

Here’s a small series of my favorite shots from SPG over the past few years.

I hope I never run out of cool photos to take at Springfield Union Station. It’s one of my favorite local railfanning spots, and it provides essential, if underfunded, public transportation.

I love Worcester and moody photos. The full photo set is up on my Flickr here: www.flickr.com/photos/train...

I wonder if I'm actually burnt out on social media in general, or if a nicer run platform like this one is all I need to enjoy this again? I'm going to experiment a little, and hopefully Bluesky reaches critical mass. Have an old moody snowy bus photo just because.

Worcester at sunset with the Conrail heritage unit hanging out in the yard. Fun times. I can't decide if I prefer the wide yard view with or without the chainlink fence.

I was fortunate enough to get my first cab ride ever in one of the Valley Railroad’s steam locomotives in December. So cool!
