I’ve got plans to 3D print the Neighborhood Trolley for a 1:1 replica. (How no company ever licensed this to sell their own G scale replicas is beyond my understanding.)
I have a motor from USA Trains and need to modify the 3D model to fit it.

Even if you’re starting with the original, at some point you’ve replaced so much that you’ve got a Ship of Theseus paradox.

Anyone else nervously looking at the weather in West Springfield, MA for Saturday and Sunday?

I 3D printed something for my son’s T Trak module… Going to embed that into the side of a mountain.

Lego (Bricklink Designer Program) set 910035 Logging Railway had a fragile trestle. I straightened and strengthened it and put real Lego tracks on it. Then I custom built a table so it could be integrated into the existing layout.

It’s hard to pick just one, but I’d love ANY of these:
* Grand Trunk 713 in N or HO
* PLI Interurban “Narcissus” in N or HO
* Trolley from Mister Rogers Neighborhood in G scale (1:1 replica)
* Central Pacific 131 (2-6-0) in HO (the Back to the Future III steam engine)
* MBTA MPI HSP46 in N and HO

YES! In a perfect world, they’d also put out two in the “Valley Central Railway” livery (which looks a lot like the Ventura County Railway livery) as seen in Back to the Future Part III!
The lead engine is #9 (built as Southern Pacific #1059). No number visible on the second engine.

Don’t drive in front of moving trains at railroad crossings!

Yeah, but…

Gotta cover those PCCs to protect them from the elements before it’s too late! (It’s always too late.)

Found this cursed tank engine listed on eBay.

To be abundantly clear, the Maine Central railroad had no engines of this style.

Always look both ways at railroad crossings!

Interesting! Apparently, Grafton & Upton has acquired Housatonic 3604, a GP-35.

In April, G&U previously took the 1926 Baldwin 2-6-2 which had been on the Wolfeboro Railroad and then sat on the Hobo Railroad and then at Edaville.

I really want an HO scale Grand Trunk 713 mogul.
November 19, 2025 at 5:47 AM
There. I fixed it.

Shout out to Grafton & Upton Railroad 1191. It’s formerly CSX 1191 (obviously) and they lazily covered up the logo with gray paint and stenciled on “GU”.

I plan to model this in HO scale. I already have the CSX locomotive and need to renumber it and slap on some gray paint and “GU” letters.
