The CEO is gone, thankfully... He really did his best to wreck the studio to line his own pockets first though, and still was able to leave on his own terms.

So all to say, hopefully none. Will be extremely disappointed to learn that that had been pushed onto the devs...

Can't really speak to the studio given the Executive group's stupid interest in AI, but I know that many of the artists and devs at Bungie are against it.
Some of those executives are technically no longer at Bungie though and were folded into Sony. At the time they hadn't managed squeezing it in...

If we don't play as Jesse I will be disappointed though. Not a playable character that should be abandoned. I want to see the two of them fighting through different worlds to the same endpoint, if it were just Dylan loose in New York I don't think it'll be as compelling a story as Remedy aim for.

Plus, I reckon, and am hopeful, that it might be a dual protagonist storyline. It worked very well in Alan Wake 2 and it's been a theme that Remedy were building in the first Control; Jesse and Dylan being two sides to the same anomalous coin, the genderless names, swappable identities, etc.

I'm actually very interested in seeing how his character has and will evolve. We've seen part of that journey already in Alan Wake: Lake House DLC and he's already much more interested in healing than he was as hiss in the first game. But like Jesse, his background feels important to good character.

That's literally what it is... Another nepo baby throwing a party celebrating the fact that he exists.

Maybe I should be practicing calculus too, lol. Though visual arts and music are other interests I really need to practice... I hate being chronically ill it's taken a lot from me before I even knew it was there.

In many ways too, the distinctions between different American Christian denominations isn't all too clear to outsiders and seems to be reducing all the time. But perhaps the choice of Catholics allowed for a greater possible range between characters, creating the conflict between Jud and The Flock.

I think that this is a continuation of themes Johnson employed with the first movie, tying in concepts of faux 'tradition' to the aesthetics and appeals of fascism and the wealthy elite. It also approximates the two movies to the literary works they adapt from, old english mystery crime novels.

I saw someone talking about how scared they felt seeing her do a 'death stare' at the mention of Candace Owens, but it is literally all just a performance to them. She looked the exact same as she does in this clip.
It's literally 'I'm being asked a 'serious' question, better act serious and tough.'

It was soo uncanny the first I saw it. Her proportions aren't at all realistic either, when surrounded by character models and settings in a vastly different style.

What a bizarre design choice...

My Drifter looked so bad on the old settings when I logged in lol... Had to fiddle around with it. The changes do look good though.

No angel in the bible is described that way. The wheels on wheels with wings are ophanim, for example, which wouldn't be assigned some angelic status till well after the bible was collated. Angels themselves were depicted as like men, though by the Greco Roman period they begin to shine brightly.

It came out with some mild bugs but really it was about the protag not being enough of a big breasted anime girl...

Schooling under what is perceived to be a military post was a core part of those storylines, but also the early role that hierarchies and social norms play in participating in harmful and dangerous behaviours, and the effects that has on those involved those around them and society as a whole...

Lower Decks had the perfect continuation on specifically TNGs academy storyline and how that impacted Beckett's entire life from then on, as her role model and friend at the academy was not only part of that incident but went on to die under Picard's command before her first promotion.
December 5, 2025 at 6:39 AM
The only real discussions the 90s shows had per academy were related to two events in which clubs that operated on prestige led to arrogant children committing to dangerous acts that got people killed and the effect that had on those around them and that was infinitely more interesting than this...

Also, what are those uniforms?? Every single one of the girls are wearing skirts and with shirts tucked in but for the men it's trousers and loose shirts?
It's already established that starfleet and academy do not operate uniforms in that way but I guess we had to have our good Christian schoolkids.

If this ad is at all indicative of what this show will be...
Yuck...

This may be related: in 2 runs now with different people the final mission of the campaign also defaulted to normal instead of legendary.
