I JUST found the Canadian/Filipino animated series of Silverwing, books I adored when younger (fantasy about bats), and while I am so far on board with it, they gave the owls red-tailed hawk screeches. Tobias is so offended

I'm in Oklahoma. My roommate lost a family member who had a dog. The dog needs to be in a one-dog home. Not neutered but I would pay for that. Pit/pit mix which makes this extra hard. If anyone can adopt him, let me know. We just don't want him to get put down in a shelter.

A week and a half of 12-13 hour days to get the report from heck done. Trying to just bog now, no responsibilities. Took the dogs to Bass Pro (I know, I know, but I needed new work pants). Everyone thought they were proper hunting dogs (they aren't), well-behaved. Good boys.

Currently astounded by the low quality of work by people who really should know better...supposed to revisit a historic cemetery for an NRHP recommendation. I got one photograph and zero notes. That's what has to go in the write-up, not that anyone works at the agency anymore to read it anyway. Ugh.

So uh, I know the U.S. is shit at immigration and has been for a while, but Europe doesn't get to play high and mighty like I see some doing...I still remember letting migrants drown in the Mediterranean and refugees freeze to death at the Polish border.

Re: OU, I am so glad I quit teaching. I had some Trumpies in my community college classes--know what I did? As long as they followed the prompt and cited sources, they passed. Did they additionally rant in papers? Yes. Still passed if they followed the prompt. This student did not. 1/

Worked 13 hours yesterday, most of that was driving (2 cell tower environmental surveys). People were driving nuts. Now there's the barest amount of ice and both major cities in my state are gridlocked. What is wrong with drivers. Selfish and dangerous behavior....might just be the U.S. in general.

I hate how evolution was like, oh wow animals. They eat stuff. How about ACID? We should do ACID to digest what they eat. Well now there's an advanced kind of ape and our ACID misbehaves if we eat wrong. Or if we're nervous. Are you happy, evolution? Are you??

Am I petty for hating events where a trusted friend in high school took a far right turn and fell out with me over my criticism of a politician years ago then is suddenly on my radar again as an inspiring queer author but has never attempted to contact me or apologize?

I don't like this U.S. holiday. When my brother used to live in Boston I went up there one year and we went to Plymouth and flipped off the rock then got accidentally involved in an AIM rally. This year my horrible stomach issues are keeping me in and away from obligations. I'm fine with it.

Been quiet, just finished really intense job. Boarding school documentation at foot of sacred mountain. Honored to be part of it. They'll build a fence around what we found before returning bison to the landscape. We may run dogs in the future because we saw no signs of burials but, boarding school.
