If they replace enough parts, maybe they can create an XPT of Theseus scenario and claim them as new trains? Much to consider

Have you considered that taking people's licenses after they repeatedly drunk drive is fascism actually, and a violation of their God given right to kill pedestrians

As do Western Australia, Tasmania, most of Victoria and a sizeable chunk of South Australia! (1067mm for QLD, Tas, & WA, 1600mm for the rest). We're barely standardised over here

Speaking as a computer scientist: people need to stop giving us this much power! Just because someone knows about algorithms and how the internet works doesn't mean they can solve all of humanity's problems

What's the point of double-heading a train this short? Is it purely just for turnaround times?

This is just one little tourist/heritage line, and even then it sometimes needs to operate off of grid power or diesel if the conditions aren't right. There's plenty of electric trains in Australia, they're just powered by overhead lines en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Byron_B...

I think the real loss here is the local services rather than the station, but compared to a lot of the city centre station closures around that time (cough cough Gympie) Townsville was a pretty reasonable decision

My understanding is that Adelaide gets quite hot and sunny. Why do even the new stations have like a bus stop worth of shade. What the FUCK is going on down there is everyone who plans this network drunk

North Adelaide station only open part of the day?? Parklands terminal entirely disconnected from the network?? Grange line runs though what looks line a major intersection and a golf course?? That level crossing with an overpass bridge?? The Port Dock spur????
