This is disappointing yet also completely expected.
It also makes no sense. No other train operator slaps their flag colours onto their trains. Germany doesn't, France doesn't, China doesn't. The only exception from Europe I can think of is Switzerland, but they managed to keep their livery simple.

Food Review: Yoshinoya
Yoshinoya is one of those Japanese chains which serves cheap food with reasonable quality.
The way they achieve this is by serving a big bowl of rice and soup to fill you up, and it works!
I was quite full and, if you don't, you can simply get more rice for free.

Got to take new DLR trains recently, unfortunately the one I was on overran Canning Town station so it got taken out of service. Not a good sign considering they have been testing for quite a while now

Visited Beaulieu Park yesterday. Despite the station being in the middle of nowhere (right now) and having a much lower frequency of trains than Chelmsford right next door, a decent number of people got off on my train from Liverpool Street (OK it was just 10).

Eurostar confirms order for 30 new double-deck trains from Alstom, similar to TGV-M, with option for 20 more, in service from May 2031. The 200m sets can run to/from London as 2 x 200m with 1,080 seats.
