Went along this week to Morocco Bound bookshop off Bermondsey St SE1, good selection of books (and drinks), lots of events including jazz, folk and poetry nights. Picked up new Emma Warren book 'up the youth club' which I am enjoying and reflecting on my own teenage Friday nights

Sorry to hear of death this week of a couple of SE London nightlife legends: Charles Gallagher (1947-2025) landlord at The Dog & Bell SE8 from 1988 to 2016 and Bill Mannix (1938-2025), who owned and ran the Rivoli Ballroom in Crofton Park for the last 40 years (pics from D&B and rivoli instas)
