i know i’ve barely been active here but i swear i still exist :V just kinda got lost in playing DQ I+II HD2D (beat I, working through II now)

i also made a tissue holder. been meaning to for a while cus i inherited a few that my grandmum made but didn’t dare take them out lest they get damaged
a pocket kleenex tissue box made from plastic canvas and yarn, shown in four different angles. the yarn is stitched in stripes of descending diamond stairs in alternating red-brown-yellow and red-orange-green variegated yarns.

i .have. made some biscornu cus apparently that’s the only thing i can concentrate on enough to distract with lolsob

i’m so thoroughly done with this week already
two biscornu style pincushions. the top is a flower motif, one side (shown left) has a large bloom and leaves encircling it, with a red bead pinning down the fabric. the other side (right), has multiple blooms and leaves all surrounding a red button. the bottom has simplified designs of Hokusai’s Fuji prints, both sides within the interior of a square so their beads are positioned as if in the sky. the left side is Fuji from Gotenyama and the mountain is in light greys and blue, with sakura branches in the corners. a spring-like green and pink stone bead pins the center. the right side is the famous Great Wave, the yellow of the boat contrasting with the deep blue of the water and dark grey of Mt Fuji. a blue-grey stone bead pins this side.

have recently been working on, and finally finished, a cross-stitch i had to shelve a few years ago due to no longer being able to sit at my table-attached stand. managed to get a smaller arrangement working by the bed, so now i can stitch and just flop over sideways when i hit my vertical limit
a cross stitch of the word “ope” in all capital letters in the style of illuminated manuscripts. the letters themselves are pink, and the embellishments and yellow the pattern is from shitpost sampler (apparently ob note: i am not shitpost sampler)

this has reminded me that i have the iroha norito on the drawstring bag i use to carry my journal around. no clue now where or when i got it, i’ve had it for at least a decade at this point lol

figured since i had to go to the library to get something printed and it’s nice out anyway, i’d actually take like,, my first selfie in g-d knows how long. just ignore the indents from my mask, no one was around so i slipped it off briefly lol

finally beat DQIII HD2D, only took like,,, 80hrs lol
tbf i did find every recruitable monster and mini medal along the way and that took Some Time

sooo after almost a full literal year of chasing paperwork and more than one primary doctor involved, i FINALLY have my new wheelchair. it’s a tilite aero z with a smartdrive mx2+ power assist.
will have to find a new way to attach my bag cus this one has a completely different back than the last :V

i guess it’s officially fall, ladybugs have begun their invasion into my apartment =\

been spending a lot of time in minecraft, mostly engaging in the sisyphean task of building a Large Tower purely in (peaceful) survival. at least i have aurelian the axolotl and my new bees to keep me company lol

so, my building had landscaping done across the entire grounds and one of the things they did was rip up the entire circle in the driveway and fill it back in with dirt, a weed barrier,,, and this tree.

surely someone can foresee that it’ll be a menace to the curb/pavement in years to come??

the more i piece this vase together the more doubtful i become that i can put all the pieces together :V

still irks me that maintenance didn’t even see it until it was on the floor :/

well it only took almost 80 hours but i finally beat dragon quest vi. that’s every main line game except dqx (at some point i’m going to have to figure that one out but hhhhh)

it’s tempting to try for beating all the side games as well but there are So Many and a good chunk aren’t translated 🫠

on a less kvetchy topic, i have been spending a *lot* of time playing DQM3: The Dark Prince, and also recently started a new journal (my first w/o lines)

mapping confusing dungeons (or even just rooms) is SO much easier on this dot grid vs the lined journals i’ve been using. def keeping to lineless
page of a journal with a dot grid in place of lines, with the map of a dungeon drawn, including hazards, passage connections, and path to the end. there are notes beside each floor listing enemies. two pages of the same journal detailing a dungeon, the mechanic unique to it, and other assorted important details two pages of the same journal with a round tower dungeon drawn, similarly detailed as the previous
