I write books nobody reads on an amateur basis, mostly. Currently I'm interested in avoiding being included in society at large and being salty about living through the rise of Neobaronies and Corpostates while the planet smothers.
I'm just here to remind everybody that it's completely fine to demonize Charlie Kirk. He's not a better person since his murder. He's not a hero. He's exactly who he was. Did he deserve murder? No. Violence for thought is fundamentally wrong.

Censorship is also violence for thought. Speak your mind

Publishing a new book over on Royal Road. Some more progression/litrpg fun stuff.

If you like high brow casual trash, give it and my other nonsense a look.

So, my Republican brethren in the good old U.S., tired of winning yet?

It's funny to me that V for Vendetta and George Carlin have only become more relevant to my life since their releases. Almost as if the average American is incapable of using the information available to make better decisions. Nothing is learned.

I don't like editing. Drafting stories is a hoot, just a great good time, but going back over them with a critical eye for ticking boxes on structure or useage or narrative theme and all that shit? Zero fun.

This is why editors get paid the big bucks. (/s for people that need it)

Whew boy. After a pretty wild thirty five day run I have completed book three of the series I've working on since last new years. Stringing together multiple 10K word days, like a week of them, teaches a guy why some of the old timers loved cocaine.

In absence of that, I choose sleep.

So, based on even a casual review of the first week of the Trump presidency, I'd have to say that it seems Donald J. Trump is, in fact, a Russian asset and is doing exactly as instructed by his handler Vladimir Putin.

I told people this in 2016. Now they get to live it. Again. Good job Republicans.

So, if the President has to take an oath to support and uphold the constitution, doesn't Trump's executive order, which he wrote knowingly was in violation of the constitution, mean he's willingly violated his oath?

Seems like there ought to be a legal penalty for Presidential malfeasance.

Another four years of trying in vain to hide from headlines that raise my blood pressure. I'm gonna have to learn German to get away from the Nazis this time, apparently. What a twist!

Haven't left the house in two weeks, thanks to the ice and snow. My life isn't substantially worse for this, as it wasn't during the Covid lockdowns. I'm starting to think you people out there aren't all you've been cracked up to be.

I'm just going to offer this mild criticism of our current economic model. If you make your nation's wealth inequality problems into a financial liability for billionaires and corporations it will go away.

Until you do, it will grow worse.

Been reading Under the Dome and it's been slow going. Read Game of Thrones and had to put it aside. Same reason for both, they touch on a truth I see in real life that I find unfun: it's the assholes that do most of the winning because decent people are too decent to stop them. We need an asshole.

There are days I wake up and reckon the human species won't survive the invention of telecommunications. I'm not convinced our primate brains are ready to be linked together by information across the entire vastness of eight billion minds around the planet.

Look, all I'm saying is, a millionaire dies and the full might of the system loads up behind the capture of the killer, but if a couple of tens of thousands of people die due to denial of health care, well, that's the cost of business.

Seems like the system only works if you have grotesque wealth.
