End - after this World Cup, we desperately need reform of the ticket buying process. Scalpers need to be dealt with, prices regulated, and fee transparency need to be demanded. This requires political action ON BOTH SIDES.

4. FIFA can actually cancel these tickets. Granted, they had these warnings before and they seem not to be enforced. But, considering how much money FIFA stands to lose allowing those tickets to be resold elsewhere, I suspect they might be stricter about this.

3. FIFA doesn’t assign seats until closer to the tournament - so how the hell does any of these third-party seats know where you are sitting?! The answer is they don’t. You think you are buying front row seats but you will probably won’t get those.

2. No one has a physical/digital ticket in their hands, only receipts. That allows the seller to overprice tix. Granted, this is happening on FIFAs website, but if tix is fake, you have no way to get another ticket ON GAMEDAY. At least thru the FIFA Resale Market, those are 100% verified tickets.
