Uruguayan National dish today, in Bar Tinkal, Montevideo, Chivito! Steak, cheese, bacon, fried egg, ham lettuce and tomato. Very good too! And the rules are you must eat with your hands!

The Paraguayan National dish is Sopa Paraguay (Paraguay soup). But it’s a stodgy cornbread which has done very poorly in my subjective National dish rankings after trying two!

Scranned a couple of decent sandwiches in São Paulo.

First up was the mortadella in Bar do Mané in the Municipal market.

Then it was the home of the Bauru, Ponto Chic, to have the original roast beef and four cheese. The recipe is classed as heritage and can’t be changed by law!

Couldn’t go to Tashkent and not visit the famous Hotel Uzbekistan, the first hotel in the country and a brutalist architecture masterpiece!

Got stuck into the National dish in Uzbekistan! Plov, a mix of meat, vegetables, rice and spices.

Back to work and already missing my Stans adventure. Medeu (pictured) is the highest ice skating rink in the world!
