Attachment is really important for overcoming fear and trauma. Lately I find myself craving safe relationships specifically with MH professionals. It makes sense after being afraid of them for many years. That was self-perpetuating hell. I’m slowly starting to feel safe.

I do wonder how common this is across fields. My impression is that in psychology most published claims remain permanently uncontested

There is a certain kind of person on social media (also, unfortunately, in the real world) who seems basically incapable of appreciating the heterogeneity of human experiences & approaches another person’s report of a different experience as annihilating their own.

the standard-of-care arguably should be everything the system has, not just some of it. People may be able to "pick and choose" interventions within that health system when it's actually resourced enough to provide them all, but the easier-to-access ones—meds—will always be widespread b/c economics.
