Which clearly isn’t sustainable long term. It’s already starting to erode the industry’s core, and soon enough, enough of the foundation will be chewed away that it’ll break and collapse. The worst part is that it’s completely preventable.

While physicals game sales have been declining for years, the point is that if the hobby’s barrier (cost) to entry (consoles) continue rise due to a multitude of factors, paired with a primary market already facing an affordability crisis, only a small audience can financially support the industry,

I don’t disagree with that sentiment, because I think PC gaming (& PC handheld gaming by proximity) has really solidified itself as the value investment long term for the medium; but it’s still a pretty enthusiast-level option, with consoles being the default entry point for general audiences.

Was it perfect? No, and unfortunately, that’s on par with most plans with the product post-TKO purchasing the company (and the enshittification trend of most massive corporate, US based products recently).

I’m personally trying to look at the full book and not a single chapter in this regard.

In terms of reveals, while I think last year’s show (overall) hit a little more in regards to my tastes, there were still TONS of awesome looking titles coming out of this year’s edition that I’m incredibly excited for(first & foremost, FATE OF THE OLD REPUBLIC, ARE YOU KIDDING ME?! CASEY!!!)!
