It's always sad when you have to remove a tree, but you can always plant a new one for future generations to enjoy.

It's probably just as well as it can cause pine trees to have a sudden and brittle fracture.

Hi there.

That colourful fellow is "Phaeolus schweinitzii" which is a brown rot fungi that effects the roots and the base of Pine, Spruce, Fir and Cedar trees.

Like most fungi it's just part of nature's recycling process, but I would definitely get your pine checked out by a tree professional.🌲
