What was the first English-language review of Metroid, I hear you ask? Steve Harris and the USNVGT (who would later go on to create EGM magazine) wrote about the Playchoice-10 version (which arrived just a bit before the NES version) for trade mag Play Meter (May 1987):

They changed it to be numbered by year, except apparently a year ahead like cars.

Also I just found out about upcoming help.obsidian.md/bases, which is maybe interesting? Seems like a replacement for DataView/DataCore, which are plugins to let you generate page content with queries/code over all your content.

I’m a big fan of Obsidian. The one big thing I’m waiting for that’s been on their roadmap forever is PDF annotation.

Might be possible to ask @whistberry.bsky.social to drop “hwa” as a hashtag for the feed or maybe get it to match only on exact matches rather than the partial match it seems to be doing?

Feeds can do anything any algorithm can do, but most of them are basically precanned searches. I think the Korean stuff is because of #hwa?
