Happy Noirvember! Yep, The Big Combo is definitely worth a rewatch! One of my fave noirs. Also enjoying the Noirvember celebration over at The Criterion Channel with "Blackout Noirs." Great fun.

The B-movies (first feature) on a double-bill were often roughly an hour long. The main title often coming in at just 90 minutes - due to what the previous reply stated - film stock and processing was expensive. I prefer the shorter run times of the early 30's! Probably my favorite decade for film.
