Finished a reread this morning of “The Horse Whisperer”. The story of broken beings (a girl and her horse) resonates with me. But also the story of how these characters are able to mend what was broken.

I have my comfort horror: the first few Friday the 13th films, Halloween, the Alien series. This is where I am right now: we watched the first episode of Wednesday season two and it was too much for me. That was my sign! So we watched the 90’s Addam’s Family movies and loved em.

The real world is scary enough right now, so like last year I’m not feeling the horror of spooky season. So I’ll be having a not so spooky season again. Tonight we watched one of my favorites. The music for Labyrinth is still a killer soundtrack. And the puppetry and imagery is outstanding.

The next generation of kids are so lucky to have you continuing this legacy!!! Reading Rainbow was a big part in what made me the reader I am today. I tried to inspire a love of reading to my students every year.
