But i try to insure myself against the corruption, the over-pricing and the rust by purchasing warranty insurance. There is nothing I can purchase that will stop the rust.

When it comes to the "vehicle" i will be driving, and, essentially, living in for the next several years (my job)... I do not know if "buyers remorse" describes my feelings. But I must accept the car because there is nothing else on the lot. It is a forced and regrettable reality.

Corruption is the scratch on your car you learn to ignore until you don't see the scratch anymore. But when you trade in your car for a new one, every scratch, every worn spot in your heated leather seats (if you are lucky enough to get a second-hand car with leather seats and ass-heater) matters.

I agree that this book has refocussed my attention. Chris has made me think of my aunt, and an observation that I have never forgotten. She lost her hearing at a very young age. She tells me that this was a blessing of sorts. The "communication" or "chatter" that matters to her is by "choice".

All this BS about DEI hires causing disaster... i would rather fly with so-called DEI hire than with our current president at the helm. Im not even sure said president could (or would) read the airplanes owner's manual.

But after the first time, that's the last time it's a first, truth?
