Sometimes the sunsets in Scotland are stupendous that you absolutely must stop and spend some time looking at them. The very subtle changes in light and colour are almost imperceptible but they are there and they bring every warm orange, purple and blue shade you can possibly imagine.

The incredible design of the Raj Mandir cinema in Jaipur, India. We really wanted to go and watch something but we had a train to catch sadly :(

I've been back from India for just over a month - and I really just want to go back there. Something has happened to me and I feel like my home and India have switched places.

This is pretty much everything India has, all in one picture. Bicycles, tuk tuks, police barriers, ancient architecture, dust, grime, hand-painted murals and a certain charm that's hard to explain.

Very early one morning in Varanasi the light from this snack seller draws in his customers. What you can't know from a photograph is that the smell of freshly bubbling chai is also very enticing - if you look closely you'll see the little clay cups lined up on his table. #photography #india

In the narrow lanes of Varanasi, India, you would frequently come across older folk just sitting in a shard of sunlight. This particular chap seemed to just move from one side of the path to the other depending upon the time of day.

On our Indian travels we've always noticed their deep connection to fire. They routinely make little fires in the middle of the road, Using just about anything they can find as fuel. These fires then become a hub for meetings and socialising and, or course, keeping away the chilly night air.

Folk back home here in Scotland are horrified that we would ever eat street food in India. What they don't know is that it's almost always fried to about 2000℃ and that they usually cook everything to order. Here was our 1/2 KG of Pakora. Turns out that's actually a lot of pakora... #photography

Last week I photographed my first elopement of the year, up in Glencoe, Scotland. The mountains were so beautiful as the sun peeked through that I couldn't drive by without stopping. This is the view looking west over Lochan na h-Achlaise.

It's gorgeous isn't it! We are just back from India where they love a peacock. My favourite was this carrying platform.

These little tiny shops are everywhere in India, and they mostly sell exactly the same things designed to keep the busy worker energised for their long day. Cigarettes, sachets of paan masala (a tobacco / betel nut stimulant), water (betel nuts make you salivate a lot) and a wide range of crisps.

Waiting for a very early train on a chilly morning in Jaipur, India. I have been experimenting with the IBIS in my new #Fujifilm #X100VI, seeing how long I can make an exposure whilst using the camera handheld. This was 1/8th of a second - quite impressed.

I have always been fascinated with the passing by of people. I spent just a couple of minutes outside our apartment in Delhi one night, capturing some of the many vehicles and pedestrians that entered, and then left, the illumination of a street light and it's nest of telephone cables. #photography

Every evening we took a walk around Hauz Khas lake to enjoy the warm sunlight and the calm, peaceful atmosphere. Families walked with their children whilst young couples cuddled under the beautiful trees.
