I know of someone who did flip a solid far right district in Canada by going out 2.5 yrs ahead of time even before he was confirmed. He got through 15,000 doors by the time the election was called. He was not even confirmed as a candidate when he started. No one else does this.

I'm a leftie. That said, I still put part of the blame (not all) on the Libs. They wait until the election is called or shortly before to start campaigning only in front of groups. NOTHING and I mean NOTHING beats door-to-door knocking and talking to people one-on-one away from the urban centers.

Answer: Yes, in a number of them it is. Core Civic and GEO Group are companies that own privatized jails. They are known to treat the inmates like shit. People get diabetes from the "food". They are also running some these ICE facilities.
