I don't understand why they are playing him so much. I understand you need to replace LaPorta's blocking. But they are giving up inside pressure, and playing Skip on the outside just removes a threat to account for.

How big of an issue is it with donors if one of the biggest NIL earners sits on the bench? Is it enough of a factor to start Chiles again?
Bonus: Is some of that NIL money not being spent for Smith being spent for Izzo's 2026 recruiting class?

I'd agree that games where it feels like they are especially targeting Jamo have been some of our worst offensive games. Though I still think 1 or 2 screens or quick slants a game on 1st or 2nd down would help. Or instead of hi/lo concepts with LaPorta/Saint early in/out concepts

I agree with this 100%. However what seems to be missing is using Jamo on early downs to create horizontal spacing. The threat of getting him the ball quickly on screens or short routes should soften the box some to help with the early run game.

They need to let him play out the season. But there is little hope for him to garner the momentum required to improve this team from season 2 to 3.
