Weetrill is now in a bright, cheery room walled by the leaves of the forest canopy. 2 - Weetrill looks down in surprise as The elevator gate opens all on its own with a ‘kink’ onomatopoeia. 3 - Weetrill is holding the locket tightly to his chest and looks around uncertainly Weetrill: …Magpie? 4- A massive reveal shot of Magpie’s home in the top boughs of her tree. The room is wreathed in leaves and branches on all sides, with sunlight beams dappling in. Weetrill strides away from the elevator. There is a massive pile of trinkets and treasures to his left, most of them shiny. There is a pink floral human-proportioned teacup to his right, sitting on its side so that small creatures can sit on its lip like a hooded seat. In front of Weetrill is a massive, vacant bird’s nest, with a small ladder leading up to its lip. His party fights a troll. DM: Slappy you’re up. What do you do? Slappy: I pie the troll. DM: Just so we’re clear you mean an actual pie? Slappy: The feat said I can use Improvised Weapons. DM: You just HAVE one of those? Slappy: 12 actually. Banana Creams. They’re on my sheet. 4- a cluttered pile of dice surrounding the words “Session 40”. 5- Slappy now sporting a facial scar and an eye patch, has fallen to one knee as he barely holds up a falling stone door to let his friends, a merfolk sorceress and dwarven fighter, escape a collapsing ruin. 5 continued- Slappy shouts “The whole temple’s coming down! You have to get the phylactery out of here now!” The dwarven man shouts back “No, Slappy! Not without you!” But Slappy roars: “Go, damn you!” 6- a closeup of the merfolk sorceress and Slappy facing each other in profile, tears welling in their eyes. The sorceress starts to say “Slappy, I…” and Slappy responds: “I know, Pacifica. I’ve always known.” Felix the pirate captain and Dim his ward argue about what to do with their prisoner: Panel One- Felix: Okay, so what's your plan? Dim: Frank fixes the ship, and I...supervise! I won't let him out of my sight, okay? Two- Felix: Look kid, I'm not gonna just slap a wrench in his hand and set him loose on our core systems. I've seen that trick too man times. RULE NUMBER 25 - Three- Dim: 'Don't take the bait' I GET it. But you were hanging out the airlock for ages with a gun pointed at nothing! Face it, he's alone! Four - Felix: And when he knocks you out, hijacks our comms and signals his henchmen to swoop in and kill us? Five - Dim stands in a tough-guy hero pose with a starry nebula background Dim: He won't. You know I can take a punch. Six - Felix takes a long time to mull it over Seven - Felix: Uuuuuuuuuugh FINE. Eight - Felix: But don't come crying to me when we're dead!

And I highly recommend you do the same. 4 - Weetrill turns his back on Plumkin and looks haughtily down at her over his shoulder Weetrill: I have even less interest in that. 5 - Weetrill stands with a finger in the air, like an instructor. The background is a chalkboard with diagrams indicating why quests are a bad idea. Weetrill: Quests are for the Stout Folk, and Baubles for the distractable Weetrill notices something above him and over his shoulder. We're Adam and Trout, and we're making a graphic novel called Walk On, Weetrill about a tiny fellow who finds a gigantic heart locket! Here are some of the most recent pages!
Page 30 - 1 - Tea is poured into a ‘mug’ which is actually a spiral seashell. A large white feathered bird wing holds the shell mug in place 2 - A small tray of nuts. berries, seeds, and apple slices. A black bird beak delicately places another nut on the tray 3 - Closeup of a large red birds eye. The plumage around the eye is black 4- Weetrill sits in a sideways teacup on top of a plump purple cushion. He is holding the locket in both hands and shouting to Magpie in the other room. He looks perturbed. Weetrill: Well I don’t see why you had to make such a fuss. Page 31 - 1 - Weetrill sits in his teacup-chair in the middle of magpie’s audience chamber, muttering half to himself. in the foreground, a large, horned avian shadow watches from the next room. Weetrill:Now everyone’s cross with me for skipping the line. 2 - a closeup on weetrill’s locket, his face reflected on its surface. Weetrill: It’s bad enough losing half a day’s forage, without having eleventy-nine squirrels chittering behind my back about it! 3 - Weetrill continues his rant, eyes closed in a huff. Weetrill: All because YOU had to make a spectacle of— 4- Weetrill is suddenly cut off by the arrival of a steaming shell-mug of tea, which pushes in from out of frame. Page 32 - 1 - Magpie Witchbird casts a dark shadow as she towers over the teacup seat with the tiny seashell mug pinched between her talons. She has twin branchlike antlers with a crystal hanging from the left antler. Her eyes are bright red. She wears a jeweled human ring as a circlet around her head. She has a massive gemstone on a chain around her neck. 2 - Weetrill’s sass evaporates as he peers up a the bird five times his size. He accepts the tea in both hands and stammers Weetrill: Well - I - yes. Thank you. H-hello, Magpie. Page 33 - 1 - Magpie Witchbird casts a wry smile down at her sheepish visitor. Magpie: Well met, Weetrill. 2 - Weetrill gazes up apprehensively at Magpie as she continues speaking from off-panel, Magpie: Shrink’st not low in thy chair - thou hast my word I’ve grown not larger. 3 - A wide panel of Magpie’s nest. We see the Witchbird from behind as she addresses Weetrill, still seated in his teacup. Magpie: ‘Tis many months now since last my door thou didst last darken. 4 - Weetrill dithers in his seat, avoiding eye contact. Weetrill: Has it really been that long? My, but where does the time go? 5 - A profile shot of Magpie’s enormous antlered head pushing in close to Weetrill, who cringes into his teacup seat. Magpie: Where INDEED, young one?

Thank you so much for the artshare! Our webcomic Walk on, Weetrill has been a huge focus for us this year! By the end of 2026, we want to have book one complete! It's a tall order at ~200 pages, but we love this story so much, and making it together means everything to us! 💛🌲
Page 29 - 1 - The leaf-walled elevator rises and comes to a halt with a squeeky ‘skreeeek’ onomatopoeia. Weetrill is now in a bright, cheery room walled by the leaves of the forest canopy. 2 - Weetrill looks down in surprise as The elevator gate opens all on its own with a ‘kink’ onomatopoeia. 3 - Weetrill is holding the locket tightly to his chest and looks around uncertainly Weetrill: …Magpie? 4- A massive reveal shot of Magpie’s home in the top boughs of her tree. The room is wreathed in leaves and branches on all sides, with sunlight beams dappling in. Weetrill strides away from the elevator. There is a massive pile of trinkets and treasures to his left, most of them shiny. There is a pink floral human-proportioned teacup to his right, sitting on its side so that small creatures can sit on its lip like a hooded seat. In front of Weetrill is a massive, vacant bird’s nest, with a small ladder leading up to its lip. In the background there is a human-proportioned book at least 4 times Weetrill’s size, flipped open with some magical text on its pages, held open with a magenta bookmark. To the side, there is a tunnel through the branches leading to an unseen room. Magpie’s voice calls out from that direction, out of sight. Magpie Witchbird: Takest thou thy seat, Weekin.
