So long and thanks for all the fish! Pax Unplugged 2025 is over, and it was a nice recharge event for me. I'm bad with making timely posts and taking photos and such, but to everyone I chatted with for 3 days in Philly, know it was exactly what I needed. So thank you.

And here's to the next one.

Good job, little sign. How would anyone know otherwise?

In light of the latest deep state conspiracy at the UN, I'm reminded of a much wiser man:

I love that this statement can be one of resilience OR a mild threat.

Divorces can get so messy.

Not sure if it's possible for both sides to lose. But here for this one, though.

Every time I see some amoral businessperson get all gung-ho about AI replacing workers for the sake of profit, I'm reminded of The Brain Center at Whipple's - a Twilight Zone episode from 1964.

"...too often, Man becomes clever instead of becoming wise; he becomes inventive and not thoughtful...

We can argue the silliness of measuring in pounds vs kilos or Celsius vs Fahrenheit,

But have you been introduced to measuring time in episodes of Bluey?

Pretty sure my inner self these days is essentially Borg Universe Riker...

Boston certainly showed up. And it knows a thing or two about not bowing to mad kings.

I was very bewildered today because I initially couldn't figure out why the new JD Vance autobiography was in the kids' section.

As part of clearing out my grandmother's house, who passed away a couple months ago, my aunts provided me with the baby book and newborn cards of my mother, who passed ~15 years ago.

The historian in me is utterly fascinated by all of this.

The parts that are father and son just really want a hug.

While shopping for groceries, a pen branded by my now former employer fell out of my pocket and was absolutely demolished by the shopping cart wheels.

The metaphors are palpable.

A real shame...that it wasn't on purpose.

The Orange Man's Project 2025 is a bucket list of terrible. But it's also 920 pages long.

This little project is using comic artists to visually convey some of the worst of it.

It's worth a look in general, but especially if (somehow), you're still undecided 2 weeks out.

FYI: Today's the final voter registration day for 11 states.

We're entering make or break territory. Be sure to check your status, especially in those states who have a habit of kicking people off for "Reasons".
