The Amazon and its wildlife, like jaguars and river dolphins, depend on both healthy forests and healthy rivers.

A new WWF-led study has mapped important shared spaces with high species abundance, helping scientists identify where roads and dams should NOT be built. 🐬

Great news for gorillas! 🦍

Earlier this year, work began in Uganda’s Bwindi Impenetrable National Park to survey mountain gorilla numbers, offering vital insight into the status of this endangered species.

We’re proud to support this crucial work to safeguard their future. 💚

It’s #WorldGorillaDay. WCS Congo monitors Western Lowland gorilla groups in Nouabale-Ndoki National Park. Between 2024 and 2025, at least one birth was recorded in each. A win for conservation and also a chance for experts to study the development, learning, and social dynamics. bit.ly/3VAyYS7 🌍

Humans share 98.3% of our DNA with these intelligent, charismatic animals. Unfortunately, this iconic species is threatened by habitat destruction, disease, and poaching. Gorillas and the wild places they call home need us now. #WorldGorillaDay

We need healthy forests. They help us address climate change and make our communities more resilient. They buffer us against floods, droughts, and heatwaves. They protect us against landslides. Do one thing for forests this week. #FSCForestWeek

Growing hope, one tree at a time. 🙌

In a mission to restore lost forests, we’ve made mighty growth with our partner teams at @trilliontrees.bsky.social.

Together, we've:

🌳Planted 606,025 trees.
👐 Supported 24,022 people across 14 countries.
💚 Brought life back to our forests.

Happy #PrimateDay 🐒
Primates keep forests healthy, dispersing seeds & promoting growth.
Without primates, forests would suffer.
