There's pretty much no support for adult autistics here, so more bootstrapping! Thank goodness for social media.

When this was written I had just gone from jnr partner in a city law firm to collapsing in court & 'sleeping' 20 hours a day. My husband had to wake me up to feed me. I now know it was a coma-like collapse caused by brainstem dysfunction, a symptom of ME/CFS.
Even so, I got told I was faking it.

My GP encouraged me to get out of bed and hit the gym. I try not to think about how that directly contributed to a major crash that I never recovered from. It was 1990.
