I’m no treeologist, but I would expect it to be permanently weakened by that damage, although it may well survive given the bark/cambium/phloem layers are intact on the other side. But I reckon the next decent wind would take it out :(

I use “Things” from the app store. A one-off initial cost, I find it super easy to use, intuitive. Use it for a to-do list including repeating reminders. Also use it for shopping lists.

I truly thought on first reading that your post said “methi” and wondered why someone would risk biosecurity fines for such a large quantity of curry leaves, when they’re so easily available here.

Yes mine has paid the price for coming out before completely cold. It’s a bit unstable! But cream hides all flaws.

I wonder what proportion of the national pavlova cohort gets scorched annually in exactly this way 🤔 I know I rushed to get mine out before other household members got home from errands and risked tomorrow’s dessert with their cavalier oven-turning-on.
