Good analysis. I watched it again recently and was struck by how a movie ostensibly developed by Kubrick and directed by Spielberg could be so incredibly, wildly all over the place and unfocused. The central conceit - that he can't be "reset" is ridiculous, and the ending is so sappy.

Wow. I loved Talk to Me. Felt like one of the freshest horror movies I’ve seen in a while.

Sigh - sure would be nice if they'd expand to Bellevue south of the 520. Kind of wild that my dad, who lives in a small town in Kansas, got fiber 10 years ago, and it doesn't seem like those of us living in one of the "techiest" places on the planet will ever get it.

I was there from Thursday through Monday staying at LA Live and going to SGF in the fashion district. I saw absolutely no sign of any rioting or even protesting the whole time. (I did get mugged though.)

Yes, I went into it relatively cold. I remember first encountering the broken panel leading to the first secret room thinking "OMG this is not what I thought at all." That, leading to "The cake is a like" - total mind blowing moments.

Whoa, you thought Ambulance was one of the best action flicks of the decade? Oh wow. I mean, to each their own and all but I cannot go with you there. I thought it was a complete and absolute disaster of a film and a mess from start to finish.

Not excusing the surprisingly high percentage who did but I think 60% is overstating it. The popular vote was around 49% and I don’t remember seeing any credible polling that high.

More than half of the people who voted did not vote for him.

That’s insane. The Escapist was my go-to site for years.
