I really like your current style but yes, shorter would also suit you I reckon.

Seems to me that Newsom’s whole strategy has been witty social media posts mocking Trump. No better than other keyboard warriors who affect nothing. Where is the push back going to come from within the US?

Ce serait la punition collective. Je dirais que la plupart des Américains qui voyagent en Europe ne sont pas MAGA. Pourquoi pas laisser échapper quelques un pour voir un peu de normalité pour quelques semaines ?

Thanks for making that clearer!

Same, opposite the Eye, (but Dec 31st 1999), and ended up walking back to Bethnal Green afterwards. This time, managed to watch the Paris fireworks in bed (the cat went out at midnight to see the local ones), but for the first time, I fell asleep before the London display. It is what it is.

Because women, and right-minded people in general, have had such an influence thus far in keeping the site on the side of decency. Do these people also go to places IRL where perverts and nazis hang out to prevent them creating an echo chamber for their proclivities?

French TV put on ‘Naissance d’une légende’ Bowie documentary last night (not sure of English title). I’ve seen it before but it gave me a real lump in the throat. God, 2016 was a shit year all round.

Agree. A timeline of two halves.

Thank you. As you say, if there’s going to be a breakdown, it’s going to be when everyone’s on Christmas break! Fortunately, and unbeknown to us, an electric convection system kicks in - not as efficient warmth- or cost-wise but we’re warm enough, especially when the sun is flooding in.

Yes, -10 here in Dordogne too 🥶 Heating went off 5 days ago (although we have emergency heating) and the heating engineers were not working till today. When I called this morning they said the heat pump was probably frozen - you think?!

I hope you’re right about the elections. Living in France, I seriously worry about the next presidential elections.

Hate to be negative but Europe isn’t (yet?) equipped to defend itself against the big boys and so are walking a tight-rope.There’s also every possibility that the only 2 countries with a nuclear deterrent (France & UK) could have pro-Russian/pro-Trump populist governments after next elections.
