I can’t think it’s anything you did wrong a just that the odds are quite spectacularly in favour of no attention so it’s a lot of skill and a lot of luck when it happens (unless you are a celebrity commissioned to write a cookbook)

I find that the average Australian vastly overestimates the average print run for a fiction title - by a factor of at least 10 and up to 100+
