-- seasonal character to introduce and kill, Bob is the best way they did it. He's important and helps the group, but doesn't horde the screentime away from the more interesting main characters. Mind Flayer is a compelling monster too, I love the way it challenges the group this time around. (3/3)

-- are getting sidelined yet and they end up pairing good foils between the groups. Hopper/El and Dustin/Steve especially ends up being a phenomenal pairing, and Mike is so supportive for Will at every possible chance it makes my heart melt a little. For as much as this show LOVES having a-- (2/3)

(#5) Stranger Things Season 2 (re)
Not quiiiiite as good as I remembered it being, but still on par with the first season outside of the infamous episode 7. I still think the Hawkins Lab set piece is the best one in the whole show. The cast isn't too much larger that major characters-- (1/3)

Both are a testament to Nintendo's ability to change the game and do what no other developer can. This game more than any other makes me happy to be alive. Kino, peak fiction, masterpiece, the best of the best, my favorite game, possibly forever. Thanks for being here, Galaxy 2! 💖💖💖 (6/6)

-- I hate even comparing them like that as if 1 isn't also in my top 10 favorite video games. It's a textbook example of how the little things can make a huge difference. The Galaxy games straight up make me happy I live in the same era Nintendo is making generation-defining games like them. (5/6)

-- playing off of exactly what Rosalina says at the end of 1 while being able to do something that manages to feel so distinct. I hate to use the word "better" when comparing them, but I forgot how the little changes in 2 make it a significant step up from 1, in my opinion. -- (4/6)

I mean, damn does this game have you drowning in new ideas. The first 120 stars are, as far as I'm concerned, near perfect. I love how differently this game expresses itself from the first game, it allows the two of them to hold a unique identity of their own. It's simultaneously-- (3/6)

-- of the game, I think their inclusion is, by and large, better than a version of Galaxy 2 without them. Kind of the textbook 3D Mario quality of "we don't REALLY have 120 good ideas for where to put these, but we want a specific, satisfying final collectible number." Everything else?? (2/6)

(#4) Super Mario Galaxy 2 (re)
Actual peak. I don't have any recollection of what time in my life I decided this was my favorite video game, but it has never really been something I felt the need to re-evaluate. Green Stars were a tad worse than I remember, but even as the weakest element-- (1/6)

Game 2 - January 6th - Jamboree - Mario’s Rainbow Castle
Peach buys star steals from the shop on turn 18. I go “what a stupid idea to use those this late in the game.” She places one down where the first paths meet, I land on it 😑

She also chance-timed away all my sister’s stuff, so she’s a menace.

(By the way, I still like the game for the most part, I just couldn’t help myself)
