No, the Second Amendment exists for a reason. There should be limits on the kind of weapons. Because a population armed with machine guns and RPGs is how you get warlords and anarchy.

Copyright was designed to protect individuals, but has become a means to prosecute them. Bringing back the original length and blocking corporate ownership could go a long way towards restoring the balance.

The FBI has too many agents with actual degrees and ethics. Remember that Donny's yes men don't like anyone with an education.

Demilitarizing the police is a good idea, disarming them isn't.

ICE agents should have their day in court like anyone else. And then those found guilty should spend the first 6 months of their sentences in the exact conditions they subject their victims to.

While there is some truth to this... SOME. This version was specifically hired to go off the rails. We do need immigration enforcement, but it should target the demand, not the supply. Companies hire undocumented workers because they can pay them crappy wages and have dystopian working conditions.

This is because he didn't appoint sycophants the first time around. Trump 2.0 specifically appointed people based on how far up his backside they were. And apparently also by how much they hated their department's mission.

Right wing sex worker advocate? Wow, that's a bit of a contradiction... But her actions are spot on... Ignore school paperwork (parental responsibility) and then spout off on how the school ignored her rights...

They were suckered into it by Elon's reality distortion field. There is no need to rub their noses in it.

Now, the folks who buy "the truck that can't 'truck'" now... Let them learn the hard way that they should have bought a Lightning. While it can't fast charge, it at least can "truck."

And China's high speed rail is failing too. Became vanity projects... Who needs feasibility studies or market research in a command economy?

So, we either have a Chinese Shill or a troll here.

China ain't all sunshine and roses. The made some progress, but transparency and rule of law just aren't anything they're even VAGUELY interested in. This is true of any authoritarian regime, of course.

The core of libertarianism makes sense. "Do what you will as long as it harms noone else."

Unfortunately modern libertarians seem to focus on the former and ignore the latter.

It's all "muh rights," conveniently ignoring the responsibilities that accompany the rights.

In her defense, given that I'm dead certain the modeling industry has more than their share of Harvey Weinstein's, it's possible she couldn't BE the former without acting as the latter.

The sad part here is that this guy teamed up with folks who would like to lynch him for his choice in mates.

And has NO problem with it.

Basically, bribe the government...

In a way, this aged like milk... Too many folks have had literal bad days there recently.

Given who owns each, is this surprising?
December 3, 2024 at 3:50 AM
And the sex offender tried to appoint another one as AG...

It's all about projection... As an evil genius once said: "Blame your opponent of that which you are guilty..."

There are adapters that let you use USB drives as multiple virtual floppy disks. In case, you know, the disk drive turns out to be dead in the water...

So, Quantum Leap?

You forgot "Some Assembly Required."

It's a Heathkit, meaning you had the privilege of building it yourself.

And now your PHONE has more RAM than your old HDD...
November 23, 2024 at 8:46 PM
Dude, I paid $700 for a 40 MEGABYTE hard disk once. It was a proprietary Zenith part for my 80286-12 laptop whose 20MB drive croaked.

Yeah, I'm old, but think about how far computing has come in the last 40 ish years

Can we please get Landscape support for tablets?
November 20, 2024 at 2:31 AM
Given that the SCOTUS has said that it's literally OK to assassinate political rivals if you're the president... And Gitmo ain't closed yet...

I have ZERO faith that the Orange one won't at least try to send reporters to Gitmo. Or some other black site.
