I think we Europeans tend to talk way too much about our supposed differences, and not nearly enough about our commonalities. Are we really that different when compared to Chinese, Americans, Indonesians, Kenyans?

Then why are they down worldwide , especially in Europe . All EV manufacturers lost the tax credit but their sales aren’t falling . Why is telling the truth so difficult ? People hate Musk .

I haven't felt this much animosity towards the US since the Vietnam war (yes, I'm that old). Europe is on its own, not for the first time. But to think that the US regime would actively interfere with our democracy, I never thought I'd see that. 🇪🇺

1,000% not worth the risk to travel to this authoritarian country now. Bringing a burner phone only solves part of the privacy invasion issue. The DNA and biometric scans; demand for relatives info, etc… (stating “I have no relatives” will likely flag a traveller as suspicious)…👋🏼Bye 🇺🇸 tourism.

In 2024, around 15 asylum applicants for every 10,000 people resident in the UK. Across the EU27 there were 22 asylum applications for every 10k people. Cyprus had the largest number per 10,000 people (95),Greece (71), Ireland (35), Spain (34), Belgium and Luxembourg (33).

If ministers want to publish the assertion - "we have become the destination of choice in Europe, clearly visible to every people smuggler and would-be illegal migrant across the world" - they should be able to say what they think that means
