The #CBJ current and future RD depth just took a big hit. Hard to see The Don letting go of Fabbro with how he’s playing next to Werenski now….
Then again, if Fabbro turns himself into a late 1st rental. Could still sign him as a UFA in summer

It’s safe to assume, Dante Fabbro future with #CBJ depends squarely on a possible Jiricek trade, and the return. If Jiricek is dealt the organization’s RD depth takes another hit, but this one is big.

So basically Waddell turned #CBJ top 10 pick with poor skating and bad instincts into a 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th round picks, but 3rd rounder is a good skating, coachable 22yo depth D.

Would #CBJ Don Waddell really give up, trade 21yo defender drafted in top 10…. In Carolina, he traded a just turned 23 former 13th overall pick after he won AHL defender of year for a 2nd round pick, because of still questionable D awareness. Have you heard about Jake Bean?
