One of the big things here, I think, is that democrats got defensive and felt they had to criticize Biden too. The Republicans have decided they will never criticize Trump or apologize so the media just kind of shrugs now too.

Most elected democrats are just lost—they have no idea how to fight this and many don’t seem to even want to.
