I followed my white classmates to a PWI bc we'd been in classes together since 3rd grade (AG program, I was one of 2 Black kids). They moved into the fancy apt dorm & partied while I was working 2 pt jobs to pay for reg dorm housing/food. The difference was clear. I transferred my junior year.
