As part of finishing out the MPA program at UDayton, I am working on a community-engaged capstone with my cohort. This year, we're working with East End Community Services here in Dayton, Ohio.

Reminder that despite talk of reducing waste, the DoD has never passed an audit and has been virtually unauditable as long as we have required audits. The financial mismanagement and poor recordkeeping run so deep that auditors consider it impossible to accurately assess. So where does the money go?
In the 20 years following 9/11, the U.S. spent over $21 trillion on militarization.
Yesterday, the House passed an NDAA bringing us closer to a $1 trillion Pentagon budget.
For too long, hawks have used the tragedy of 9/11 to supercharge militarism at the cost of our needs and safety.
