We need an independent officiating commission for sports like we have for other forms of gambling. The amount of money that rides on each call or non-call is insane, and letting them police themselves is foolish.

If Trump uses the Insurrection Act, and there is no insurrection, we have officially devolved into authoritarianism. And if he's going to use it no matter what, there isn't an argument for trying to avoid conflict. Seems more like conflict is being brought to us irregardless.

I cancelled Paramount Plus the moment it became clear they were going to be a Trump-ally owned entity. Anyone who is allied with Trump uses their ownership powers to help him or do his bidding. They will not cross him, no matter how unethical they may look since most people won't stop paying them.

It seems like, as a culture, the US is moving more towards the "cover yourself entirely" clothing rule. Want to be anonymous on the street? Want to avoid being profiled? Want to do illegal things? Cover your whole body up. Even citizens wearing body armor in public is being normalized. So weird.

We need to make it a party plan to defund ICE and layoff every single agent on day one of any new Dem presidency, or to deny any DHS funding to the executive on day one of any Dem majority Congress. These asshats arent making us safer in any way, literally a negative everywhere they go.
