Trump tarrifs going to sink the economy on Aug 1st. No one believed Trump was going to do it the first time. For some reason, no one believes him this time. Trump won't back off unless the market sinks, but market isn't sinking because it believes that Trump will back off again. Game of chicken

I have a lot of sympathy for the terrible things happening in Gaza. Once Trump was elected, their fate was sealed. It was just as tragic watching people that supposedly wanted to help Gaza get him elected in the first place.

Gonna take a while for the AI hype bubble to pop. It's amazing, but it's not AGI and won't be if you use LLMs. How long can the market stay on the sugar high? That's the question. I'd give it a year or so, maybe less if I'm lucky

Tariffs are old news, now the market is pricing in for a recession. News is behind the curve. Fed won't cut. Inflation is always the one that wins in the dual mandate. Inflation is going to come from unwind of global routes and realization that the tariffs are not going away.

The thing about deregulation, tax cuts, and looking away from corruption is that it doesn't produce any extra goods. It's just inflationary. It's not productive. Can't boost the economy if it's already corrupt.

Maybe it's the late night shows that have been telling everyone that Dems suck and Bernie rules for the past 10 years while the right wing has all been pumping Trump the entire time. Everyone sucks. Everyone acts like they aren't Dems even though they are Dems. I wonder where they got that idea

Markets sniffing out that the Fed isn't going to cut while JPow is there. Taking them a while. Then Trump will appoint someone who will cut into rising inflation after JPow leaves. Then, the end of the yield curve starts going up and things get really spicy.

Elon has basically run a long series of scams that most people basically haven't figured out yet. No one has cared because he kept making them money by lying about full self driving and AI. But let's see what happens when they realize it's all vaporware and their money is now vapor too?
