The 1921, Tulsa Race Massacre saw a white mob destroy the Black community of Greenwood, OK, also known as "Black Wall Street." Hundreds were killed, and thousands were left homeless. Despite the devastation, no reparations have been paid, highlighting the ongoing need for justice and reparations.

We honor Rev. Nelson Johnson’s contribution to the work of truth, reconciliation, healing and repair. As a survivor of the 1979 Greensboro Massacre, he contributed to the first Truth & Reconciliation Commission on American soil in Gboro, NC.

Today we honor the legacy of Malcolm X. His life was a radical act of truth-telling: the kind that disrupted comfort, demanded justice, & inspired global movements for Black liberation. We honor him by continuing his work: amplifying the truth, organizing for justice, & holding systems accountable.

In April, TTP attended the 36th Session of the Working Group of Experts on People of African Descent at the UN. "It was a celebratory milestone for our grassroots organization to participate in the broader global movement for racial justice and reparations."

Today in 1969, activist James Forman disrupted the service at Riverside Church to deliver THE BLACK MANIFESTO, which focused on black economic justice and self determination. Demands included that majority white religious institutions pay $5M in reparations.
